Zoom expands agentic AI platform for enterprise workflows

Zoom’s Enterprise Connect 2026 announcement marks the company’s shift from AI-assisted meetings to an agentic AI platform that orchestrates workflows across its entire product suite and third-party applications.

The platform allows organizations to build custom AI agents that operate across Zoom Meetings, Team Chat, Phone, and connected business tools. These agents can follow up on action items from meetings, prepare briefing documents, schedule follow-ups, and execute multi-step workflows that span communication channels.

For product managers, two aspects stand out. First, the integration depth — agents operate across meeting transcripts, chat threads, and documents, creating a unified context that single-tool AI assistants cannot match. Second, the enterprise governance layer — organizations control what agents can access, what actions they can take, and how outputs are audited.

This is relevant because many PMs spend significant time on the coordination work between meetings, documents, and task management systems. If agentic platforms can reliably handle that coordination, it changes how PMs allocate their time and what they prioritize in their own workflows.
