ResearchOps Community — research operations community

The ResearchOps Community is the largest dedicated space for people working in research operations. With over 16,000 members across more than 150 countries and 500,000 messages exchanged, it centers on the practical side of scaling research: tools, procurement, governance, recruitment infrastructure, and knowledge management.

The community runs on Slack and is actively moderated by a volunteer board. Beyond daily conversation, the community produces original research (including the 8 Pillars of ResearchOps framework), hosts town halls and conferences, and publishes articles on their Medium publication. Members include people in dedicated ResearchOps roles as well as researchers and research leaders who manage operational aspects of their practice.

Joining requires an application with a short waitlist, as new members are onboarded in cohorts. The deliberate intake process keeps the community focused and manageable. For anyone working at the intersection of research practice and organizational operations, this is the reference community.
