Cha Cha Club — ResearchOps community
The Cha Cha Club is a community specifically for research operations professionals who are working through the practical challenges of integrating AI into their research infrastructure. Co-founded by Katie Townsley and Glenn Familton, it provides a space for ResearchOps practitioners to share experiences and problem-solve together.
The community emerged from a recognition that ResearchOps professionals face a unique set of challenges around AI adoption: evaluating new tools, managing data privacy implications, restructuring workflows, and defining where human oversight remains essential. These are operational questions that general UX communities do not address in sufficient depth.
For ResearchOps practitioners who feel the pace of AI change is outstripping their ability to evaluate and adapt, the Cha Cha Club offers peer support from people navigating the same transitions. The community is smaller and more specialized than the broader ResearchOps Community, which makes it easier to have focused conversations about specific operational challenges.
