Omma: Spline's AI studio for interactive 3D experiences

Omma is a new AI creative studio from Spline — the 3D design tool widely used by interface designers — that was announced in beta in March 2026. The premise is text-to-interactive-experience: a user describes what they want to build in natural language, and the platform generates a functional result, whether that is a 3D website, a landing page, an interactive web app, a game, or a presentation.

The system uses parallel AI agents to handle different aspects of creation simultaneously — code generation, image creation, 3D model building, and data processing running at the same time rather than in sequence. The platform supports a wide range of input and output formats including CSV, JSON, GLB, OBJ, SVG, PNG, and MP4, which broadens what can be built in a single session.

For designers with experience in Spline’s existing 3D tools, Omma extends that environment toward generative creation rather than manual modeling. For designers without a 3D background, it is positioned as a lower-barrier entry point to building interactive 3D web experiences that would otherwise require WebGPU knowledge or engineering help.

The product sits in a growing category of AI tools targeting interactive and spatial design — a category that has previously required significant technical expertise to work in at all. Whether Omma reduces that barrier to a point where interaction designers can work directly in the medium without engineering support will depend on what the beta produces in practice.

Spline already has an established user base in the design community, which gives Omma a distribution starting point that newer standalone AI creative tools do not have.
